Water Share
Project Description
The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) is the largest
wholesaler of water in the country. They regulate the delivery
of water to more than 31 million people. Reclamation is also
the second largest producer of hydroelectric power in the western
United States. On an annual basis,  their 58 power plants provide
more than 40 billion kilowatt hours generating nearly a billion
dollars in power revenues, and produce enough electricity to
serve six million homes.
Our Role
Reclamation asked us to create a virtual water conservation
center relevant to the 17 western states they serve. We created
WaterShare, a website that offers technical advice for professional
water managers; descriptions and photographs of drought tolerant
gardens located throughout California; teacher curriculum;
and activities for children to learn about water conservation.
Aside from WaterShare, we also created integrated communication
pieces for Reclamation including brochures, strategic plans,
annual reports, and trade show displays.
